Privacy policy

Last updated June 2026

This policy explains how PlainPage, operated by Brindleford Technologies Ltd ("we"), handles personal data. For account data we act as a data controller; for the audio you upload and the transcripts and summaries we derive from it, we act as a data processor on your behalf (see our Data Processing Agreement).

What we collect

  • Account details — your name and email from Google sign-in or magic-link.
  • Audio you upload, and the transcripts, summaries and action items we generate.
  • Usage data — duration processed, for plan metering.
  • Billing metadata — handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.

Lawful basis

We process account and usage data to perform our contract with you, and on the basis of legitimate interests for security and service operation. You are responsible for the lawful basis and consent covering anyone recorded in the audio you upload.

Subprocessors

We share data with these processors only as needed to provide the service:

  • Deepgram — speech-to-text transcription.
  • Anthropic — summarisation.
  • Backblaze B2 — audio storage (EU region).
  • Postmark — sign-in emails.
  • Stripe — payments.

Data residency

Your audio and its derived outputs are stored in the EU. US residency is planned as a selectable option.

Retention

We keep recordings and their outputs until you delete them (free accounts keep history for a limited period). Deleting a recording removes its audio, transcript and summary.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your data from within the app, and you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
